OBQI Basics

Outcome Based Quality Improvement (OBQI) is a systematic approach that home health agencies can implement and follow to continuously improve the quality of care they provide. Under OBQI, patient outcomes are used as the ultimate measure of quality. Outcome and Assessment Information Set (OASIS) reports are used to define the objectives for quality improvement.
