Frederick G. DeFeo, MD, Kansas City
Senior Docent, Truman Medical CenterFrederick G. DeFeo, MD, is board certified in Internal Medicine and practices at Truman Medical Center and is a docent at the University of Missouri - Kansas City School of Medicine. He is the Past President of the Missouri State Medical Association.
Dr. DeFeo earned a degree from Rockhurst College in Chemistry. He served in the U.S. Army from 1969-70. Dr. DeFeo did graduate work at Washington University and the University of Kansas - Kansas City in Pharmacology. Dr. DeFeo earned his Medical Degree from the University of Kansas - Kansas City in 1978.
He became an Instructor of Medicine at the University of Missouri - Kansas City in 1979, and taught as an Assistant Professor of Medicine there from 1982-2000.
He was Section Chief in General Internal Medicine at Truman Medical Center from 1984-1997. Dr. DeFeo is currently a Senior Docent with the Medical School and an Associate Professor of Medicine at the University of Missouri - Kansas City.
He is a past president of the Metropolitan Medical Society of Greater Kansas City, and has served on numerous committees with that organization. Dr DeFeo serves on the Board of Directors of University Physicians Associates, is Chair of its Compliance Committee and a member of its Executive Management Committee. He chaired their Corporate Identity Task Force.
